Maisie Smith sings 'Somewhere That's Green' in a new video released on 18 September 2026, a week before Little Shop of Horrors opens in Manchester.

The clip shows Smith as Audrey, performing the character's wistful solo number. It was released ahead of the revival's Manchester debut, a new staging of the familiar musical horror comedy BroadwayWorld.

Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester will stage the production first. The theatre lists the run as 25 September to 28 November 2026 Hope Mill Theatre.

Smith will play Audrey for that Manchester season. She plays the blonde shop assistant with dreams of a quieter life away from Skid Row.

Jed Berry will play Seymour opposite her. Marcus Ayton will voice Audrey II. Benjamin Yates will play Orin Scrivello, the dentist WhatsOnStage.

The production then moves to Liverpool. The season there will run from 3 December 2026 to 9 January 2027.

There is a cast change for that second stop. Jessie Elland will play Audrey in Liverpool. Smith will not perform in the Liverpool performances, according to listings from the receiving house Everyman Playhouse.

A megamix medley released in August previews the score. It features four numbers: "Little Shop of Horrors", "Dentist!", "Somewhere That's Green" and "Don't Feed the Plants".

What makes this stand out for fans is the chance to hear the voices before the doors open. The megamix is brisk and full-company. The solo clip is slower. It puts Smith alone in the spotlight and gives a clear sense of her take on Audrey before previews begin.
