Glenn Martens is parting ways with Diesel, the Italian denim-led label. His last collection for the brand will walk the runway in Milan for Spring 2027.

The farewell show is scheduled for 4 p.m. CET on Tuesday, the opening day of Milan Fashion Week, one of the four main seasonal showcases alongside New York, London and Paris. Diesel said a successor will be revealed in due course, as reported by WWD.

Martens will stay as creative director, the role in charge of a house's design direction, at Maison Margiela, the Paris-based fashion house. Both Diesel and Margiela sit within OTB Group, the Italian fashion group.

Martens was appointed creative director of Diesel in 2020. His first runway collection for the label, a live presentation of a new season's designs, was Spring Summer 2022, according to Diesel.

Diesel was founded by Renzo Rosso in 1978. It is now part of OTB Group alongside Maison Margiela, Marni, Jil Sander and Viktor & Rolf.

Under Martens, Diesel returned to the runway calendar in Milan. The label later restaged its Fall Winter 2022 show in Tokyo after its Milan debut.

For fans, this means one last Milan moment. The Spring 2027 show closes a six-year run at Diesel, while Martens continues his separate role at Margiela. Expect attention on who Diesel picks next, and on how that choice shapes the label after Martens.
