Lily Collins has said goodbye to Emily Cooper.

The actor spent her last day on set in the title role in Netflix's Emily in Paris and marked it with a farewell post on Instagram. Variety reported the wrap on 18 Sept 2026.

It closes a run that began in 2020. Emily in Paris will finish with its sixth season on 24 Dec, taking the total to six seasons over seven years. The character of Emily Cooper was dreamed up by Darren Star, and Collins played the lead.

A final season, meaning no further seasons are planned, lets a production shoot with an ending in mind. The cameras stopping is the last step on set. Editing, music and other finishing work still follow before the episodes can stream.

Season five is the chapter viewers can watch now. It is streaming on Netflix, according to Netflix Tudum. The season moves Emily's story beyond France, as she travelled from Paris to Rome and Venice.

That Italian leg left its mark on the cast. Ashley Park wrapped her filming on season five in Venice. She described the shoot as a once-in-a-lifetime experience in an interview with People.

The closing run keeps Emily torn between two men. Lucas Bravo returns as Gabriel. In season six, Gabriel sends Emily a postcard asking her to come to Greece with him, according to first-look reporting by People. Lucien Laviscount returns as Alfie, Emily's banker love interest.

The setting grows again for the goodbye. Season six will film in Greece and Monaco, two brand-new locations for the show. Filming was scheduled to start in May 2026, People reported.

For fans, this means the countdown is on. Five seasons are already in place to rewatch. One last trip, from Paris via Italy to Greece and Monaco, is still to come.
