Emily in Paris wraps final season ahead of Christmas Eve return

Emily in Paris has finished filming its sixth season, which will also be its last.

Netflix will release the final season on 24 December 2026, bringing the story of Emily Cooper to a close, according to Deadline. The date gives viewers just over three months to wait for the farewell run. A final season means no further seasons are planned after this one.

Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, marked the wrap with an Instagram post saying goodbye to her character. She described the moment as surreal and bittersweet after six seasons in the role. Her farewell photo showed her sitting in a chair marked ‘Fin’ at Place de l’Estrapade in Paris.

Collins had already confirmed in a video in May that Season 6 would be the end of the series, as reported by Netflix Tudum. That announcement came before cameras had been rolling for long. It gave the cast and crew notice that this shoot was the last one.

Filming began in May 2026, according to Yahoo. Production had been expected to continue into late September. The wrap on 18 September lands just ahead of that schedule.

Netflix has started to set up the final run. It published new first-look photos from Season 6 in late August, according to Netflix Tudum. The story picks up with Emily travelling around Europe, Netflix’s plot guide says.

For viewers, this means the Christmas Eve launch is the finish line. Six seasons, one last trip, and then Emily’s Paris story is done.
