Moonbug Entertainment, the studio behind CoComelon and Blippi, has launched Big Feelings Music, a new company devoted to children's and family music.

The launch was announced on September 22. Snoop Dogg's Doggyland leads its first roster, Music Business Worldwide reported.

Big Feelings Music will work with artists, creators and studios making music for young listeners and their families. It will offer label services, meaning distribution and marketing support without a traditional record deal. It will also offer music publishing administration, the handling of songwriting rights and royalty collection, alongside video distribution.

Doggyland is joined on the opening line-up by Baby Bandstand, Badanamu, Bob Zoom, English Tree TV, Lotty Friends, Mooseclumps and Skyvibe. Moonbug's website also names Joy Joy World, Bumble Bree and Nookaboos among recent signings to the venture.

Moonbug describes Big Feelings Music as a fully integrated music company. It said the company is built on the infrastructure developed for its own franchises, including CoComelon, Blippi and Little Angel. The music operation sits under Jon Benoy, Managing Director of Platforms and Music at Moonbug.

That infrastructure is wide. Moonbug says its video content is available on more than 150 video platforms. Its music and audio experiences are distributed across more than 100 audio platforms globally. The numbers matter here. Children's songs live or fade on playlists, smart speakers and in-car repeats.

Moonbug itself is owned by Candle Media. Candle Media acquired Moonbug in 2021 in a deal reported at nearly USD $3 billion. Candle Media is run by former Disney executives Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs and is backed by Blackstone.

The Blippi and Doggyland connection is already in the open. Moonbug's Newsroom features an article titled "Blippi And Snoop Dogg's Doggyland Serve Up a Fresh Take On 'My Ice Cream Truck' Song", according to Moonbug. The company also describes Emmie's Wonder Wardrobe as a brand-new series from the world of Little Angel, and lists The Melon Patch Season 2 as now streaming.

What makes this stand out is the pairing of scale and audience. Doggyland brings a widely recognised name in hip-hop into songs made for toddlers. For families, this means new releases will arrive through the same pipelines that already carry CoComelon and Blippi into living rooms and cars.
