Disney+ brings French heist hit Cat's Eyes to Britain for the first time

British viewers are about to meet the Chamade sisters for the first time.

Disney+ has picked up the rights across EMEA — Europe, the Middle East and Africa — to season one of Cat's Eyes, the French heist drama from TF1, with a launch set for December 2026 in the UK and Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux, Central Europe, Türkiye and South Africa, according to Deadline.

The deal fills a gap. The series had never been available in the UK and Ireland until now.

Cat's Eyes is produced by Paris-based Big Band Story and backed by TF1. It is based on the 1980s manga of the same name by Tsukasa Hojo. The story follows three sisters who pull off art thefts to recover works that belonged to their missing father.

Season one first aired in France in November 2024 on TF1. Its heists played out at famous Paris landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Palace of Versailles. The run averaged 5.3 million viewers in France, peaking at 6.7 million for the premiere, and took an average 41% audience share among 15- to 24-year-olds, as reported by Deadline.

That youth audience helps explain the afterlife. In France, Prime Video has taken the second window for season one, meaning the second run after TF1's initial broadcast. Internationally, the show has now sold into more than 30 territories, with buyers including Hulu in the U.S., RTS in Switzerland, RTL in Belgium and RAI in Italy.

Season two is already moving. TF1 has set an event launch in France for October 12. Disney+ has also announced its involvement in the new season, which TF1 is coproducing with Germany's ZDF.

Camille Lou, Constance Labbé and Claire Romain return as the three sibling robbers. They are joined by MB14, Elodie Fontan, Tamara Marthe, Tom Leeb, Arnaud Binard, Lola Dewaere, Jérôme Le Banner, Simon Ehrlacher and Léon Plazol. Season two opens with an operation on Mont St Michel, the tidal island and abbey off Normandy.

Four broadcasters have pre-bought season two, meaning they agreed to take it in advance, with Rai, AMC Global Media Iberia, RTL TVI and RTS all on board.

For fans, this means a short wait and a clear order to watch. Season one lands on Disney+ in December. Season two follows from France.
