Taylor Swift has started a two-hour countdown on her website, scheduled to end at 2pm ET on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

As of Tuesday morning, taylorswift.com redirected visitors to store.taylorswift.com/password, according to Billboard. The page showed ticking clock numbers set against a red curtain colour background. The timer was set to run for two hours.

The clock is ticking.

The countdown followed a string of clues linked to the number zero. Swift’s Instagram bio read “And, baby, that’s sh0w business f0r y0u”, with zeros replacing the letter O. The lyrics for The Life of a Showgirl on Apple Music carried the same switch, with zeros used in place of O’s.

Swift had also appeared in a Law & Order: SVU parody at the 2026 Emmys. She played a rookie detective alongside Mariska Hargitay. In the skit, her character said: “Saccharide. Ares. From the Vineyard. North or South.”

The website move locked the main shop behind a gate. The official site displayed an “Enter store using password” prompt. The official Taylor Swift Store separately lists a Midnights: Mahogany Edition Vinyl, described as holding 13 songs with one of four collectible album jackets featuring unique front and back cover art, and showing shipment on or about Sept. 23, 2026. It also lists a Taylor Swift Checker Game Towel, showing shipment on or about Sept. 18, 2026.

What makes this stand out is the tight sequence. A broadcast comedy sketch, altered spellings on social media and streaming, then a curtained clock with a password door. Swift has not publicly explained what the timer marks, and an earlier countdown also gave no indication of what would happen at zero, according to Billboard.

For fans, this means a short wait. The answer is due when the numbers stop at 2pm ET.
