Diane Lane Joins Hulu Thriller 'Victoria' Opposite Li Jun Li

Diane Lane will star opposite Li Jun Li in Victoria, a new erotic thriller for Hulu from Onyx Collective.

Lane will play Lee Calloway, described as a savvy venture capitalist used to getting what she wants. Li leads the show as Maxine Tao, a brilliant con artist caught in a dark web of power and luxury — and in the crosshairs of a seductive killer who knows her secrets, as reported by Variety on 22 September 2026.

The project is a limited series, meaning it is designed to tell one complete story in a single run. No episode count or release date has been announced.

Christy Hall is the creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner, meaning the writer in overall charge of the series day to day. Geeta Vasant Patel will direct the pilot, meaning the first episode, and also executive produce.

Lilly Burns, Elise Henderson and Tony Hernandez of Counterpart Studios are also executive producers. Li will serve as a co-producer in addition to starring.

Lane is recognised for film roles in Under the Tuscan Sun, Unfaithful and Hollywoodland. She received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Unfaithful, plus Golden Globe nominations for Under the Tuscan Sun and Cinema Verite.

On television, her recent credits include A Man in Full and House of Cards at Netflix. She also appeared in Season 2 of Feud for FX/Hulu and in The Romanoffs at Amazon.

Her Emmy nominations span Cinema Verite, Feud and Lonesome Dove. She is represented by CAA, Range and Weintraub, according to Variety.
