Diane Lane joins Hulu thriller Victoria opposite Li Jun Li
Diane Lane has joined Hulu's upcoming thriller Victoria opposite Li Jun Li.
The casting, reported by Deadline on 23 September, completes the show's central pairing. Victoria is a limited series, meaning it is planned as a single season with a closed ending.
Lane will play Lee Calloway, described as a savvy venture capitalist. Li Jun Li, who was announced earlier, stars as Maxine Tao, a sophisticated con woman pulled into the world of venture capital.
The story follows Maxine as she is caught in a web of power, luxury and a seductive killer who knows her secrets. It is set among San Francisco's elite.
The series was created and written by Christy Hall. Hall also serves as showrunner, the person in overall charge of the creative direction, and as an executive producer.
Geeta Vasant Patel is directing the pilot, the first episode made to launch the series, and is also an executive producer. Lilly Burns, Elise Henderson and Tony Hernandez are executive producers for Counterpart Studios. The project comes from Hall, Onyx Collective and Counterpart Studios, with Li also credited as a co-producer.
