JEONGHAN and JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN are branching off as a duo.

The pair will debut as JxJ (SEVENTEEN) with a first mini-album, a shorter collection that typically runs five to seven songs, titled DREAMSCAPE. It is scheduled for release on Oct. 19, as reported by Billboard.

Pre-orders for DREAMSCAPE begin at 10 p.m. ET on Sept. 22. The title translates to "landscape of dreams."

Both singers come from SEVENTEEN's vocal unit, the part of the 13-member group focused on singing rather than hip-hop or performance. They perform in that unit alongside WOOZI, DK and SEUNGKWAN.

JxJ is a subunit, a smaller line-up drawn from the main group that releases and performs separately. This one is the seventh official SEVENTEEN subunit to launch.

The duo announcement follows a busy year for the full group. SEVENTEEN's fifth full-length album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks the most popular albums in the United States each week.

For fans, this means a different scale of release. A two-person record leaves more room for each voice. The Oct. 19 date puts new music less than a month after pre-orders open.
