Reasonable Doubt Season 4 Trailer Answers Shooting Cliffhanger
Jax is the shooting victim. Reasonable Doubt Season 4 will open with that answer. The legal drama returns with three episodes on 6 October, according to Deadline.
The new trailer names Jax, played by Emayatzy Corinealdi, as the person shot in the cliffhanger teased at the end of Season 3. A cliffhanger, meaning a story stopped at a moment of crisis, had left viewers waiting to learn who was hit. The trailer closes that gap in its opening moments.
It shows Monica, played by Brandee Evans, storming into The Stewart Firm with a gun. She fires at Jax because she blames Jax for destroying her career and reputation. The firm sits at the centre of the show, as Jax works as a defence lawyer navigating difficult cases and tangled loyalties.
A three-episode opening, meaning three instalments arrive on day one, gives viewers more to start with than a single episode. After that launch, new episodes will arrive weekly on Tuesdays. The run continues through 4 November.
The story picks up with Jax and her husband Lewis Stewart, played by McKinley Freeman, dealing with the aftermath of the shooting. Morris Chestnut plays Corey Cash, a key figure in Jax's orbit. Joseph Sikora also stars, according to Hulu, which hosts the Season 4 trailer on its Reasonable Doubt series page.
Behind the camera, the series was created, written and executive produced by Raamla Mohamed Hunter. It hails from Onyx Collective and is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios. Onyx Collective is the Disney brand focused on work from creators of colour.
The show began as a Hulu legal drama from Onyx Collective, once dated for 27 September, according to an earlier Variety roundup. Variety later listed a return for 18 September with a two-episode launch followed by weekly episodes in its Fall TV Preview 2025. Those older dates are background now, with October confirmed as the current launch.
For fans, this means answers come fast. Viewers will realise who was hurt at once, then follow how Jax, Lewis, Monica and Corey live with what happened next.
