Meagan Good is the new law in town on Reasonable Doubt.

Good plays Regina Harris, the new district attorney, in season four of the Hulu legal drama. She discussed the role, what she learned about acting from her husband Jonathan Majors, and breaking out of the “pretty box” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published 14 October 2026.

Reasonable Doubt was created by Raamla Mohamed Hunter. It stars Emayatzy Corinealdi as Jax Stewart, a high-powered defence lawyer. The story is set in Los Angeles but is largely filmed in Atlanta.

Season four puts Jax against Regina in the courtroom. Jax’s main client is music executive Eric Cropper, played by Tank. Taylor Polidore Williams plays Brooke, Cropper’s wife. La La Anthony plays Melina, Cropper’s first wife.

Several familiar faces are back. Morris Chestnut returns as Corey Cash. Joseph Sikora returns as Bill. McKinley Freeman plays Jax’s husband Lewis, and Tim Jo plays investigator Daniel.

Behind the camera, Hunter writes and executive produces the series alongside Kerry Washington, according to Hulu. Hulu has named La La Anthony, Rutina Wesley, Taylor Polidore Williams, Devaughn Nixon and Alexxis Lemire as recurring guest stars for season four, meaning they appear across several episodes rather than as full-time regulars.

Good arrived with a long screen history. She previously starred in the Prime Video series Harlem. As a child actor her credits included Friday, Eve’s Bayou and Cousin Skeeter. As an adult she has appeared in the Think Like a Man franchise, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the Minority Report television series and both Shazam films.

For fans, this means a new contest at the centre of the show. Jax defends. Regina prosecutes. That puts two Black women lawyers on opposite sides of the same cases.

The interview also covered Good’s marriage to Majors. Good has said Majors tried to encourage her not to date him in order to protect her, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Majors was convicted of assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in his 2023 New York trial. He later spoke to The Hollywood Reporter in what was described as his first exclusive interview since his domestic violence sentencing.
