Unicorn launches Forefront Books UK for business stories

Unicorn Publishing Group has launched Forefront Books UK, the British arm of the American business publisher Forefront Books.
The new venture is described as a hybrid business imprint, meaning it publishes business and leadership books in partnership with authors or companies rather than through traditional advances alone, according to Publishers Marketplace. It will operate as an imprint, meaning a branded list inside a larger publishing group. The aim is to bring Forefront's US model to Britain.
It will be led by Jonathan Merkh. He is president and chief executive officer of Forefront Books and of UPG, the shorthand for the wider group.
The plan starts small. Forefront Books UK intends to publish an inaugural list of 10 to 20 books, with the aim of growing that number each year, according to The Bookseller. The first books arrive in early 2027.
Two lead titles have been named. One is THE GREATEST ADVENTURER: FROM THE WILDS OF AFRICA TO A BILLION-DOLLAR TRAVEL EMPIRE by Geoffrey Kent with Ben Mezrich. The other is GETTING BETTER NEVER STOPS, a memoir by Harriet Green.
The launch follows a reshaping of the companies behind it. In July 2025, Forefront Books and Histria Books took a majority stake in UK-based Unicorn Publishing Group, according to Publishers Weekly. The three companies then joined forces as Unified Publishing Group.
For readers, this means a fresh shelf of business stories from early next year. Expect travel, leadership and life in business, told by the people who lived it.
