Plimsoll Studios promotes Andrea Jackson to lead talent strategy

Plimsoll Studios has promoted Andrea Jackson to Creative Director, Entertainment and Talent Strategy.
The promotion was reported on 23 September by Deadline. She will oversee the company's relationships with on-screen talent, working across genres. In short, she becomes the point person for finding presenters, keeping them, and building shows around them.
It is a step up from her last post. Plimsoll first appointed Jackson in January 2023 as Creative Director of Factual Entertainment, as reported by Realscreen. In that role she was tasked with developing and packaging formats and serving as executive producer, the senior credit that carries overall responsibility for a show, across the slate.
That job description has now widened. Her official Plimsoll biography says she oversees onscreen talent strategy including casting and creative collaboration with talent and their representatives. The new title formalises that part of the work across the whole business rather than a single genre.
Her recent credits show the mix. Jackson served as executive producer alongside Karen Plumb on Plimsoll's investigation into prescription dependence for Channel 4, according to Plimsoll. That film was directed by Rory Jackson, with ITV Studios handling international distribution.
The promotion follows a restructure earlier in 2026. Plimsoll reorganised around five divisions: Natural History & Adventure, Live, Entertainment, Family & Kids and Digital. The company is owned by ITV and led by Founder and CEO Grant Mansfield.
Viewers will know Plimsoll from its big talent-led titles. They include Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston for Disney+, Skyscraper Live with Alex Honnold for Netflix, and Secret Garden with Sir David Attenborough for the BBC.
For viewers at home, this is the behind-the-scenes part that decides who fronts what. A clear talent brief can keep a familiar face on screen and give a crew of more than a hundred a series to make.
