serpentwithfeet announces Sentinel EP for December

serpentwithfeet will release a new EP, Sentinel, on 4 December. The seven-track collection is his first release for One Little Independent Records. The title song has been released in advance.
News of the release was reported by Pitchfork on 23 September. Pre-orders for the EP are open, according to Flood Magazine. The label's site lists the project as ‘serpentwithfeet - sentinel (2026 Edition)’.
An EP, a release longer than a single but shorter than a full album, packs several songs into one short package. Sentinel does that with seven titles. The title track, the song that shares its name with the EP, has been released ahead of the rest. The other six will follow when the full set arrives in December.
The full tracklist is “Sentinel,” “Henchmen,” “Invocation,” “His student,” “Of Course,” “Daddy” and “Puckish ft. TYGAPAW.” The last title credits TYGAPAW as a guest. All seven are billed together as the Sentinel EP.
Sentinel follows GRIP, the album serpentwithfeet released in 2024. That puts two years between the album and this EP. A new EP after an album often gives an artist room to share fresh songs without waiting for another full-length cycle. Here, it keeps new music in front of listeners before the year ends.
The label detail matters. Sentinel is his first release as a One Little Independent Records signee, an artist signed to that label. He spent nearly a decade on Secretly Canadian before making the switch. In practical terms, the label handles the release, from manufacturing to getting copies to shops and streaming services.
The timing sets up about ten weeks from announcement to release day. The announcement came on 23 September. The EP arrives on 4 December. That window is when pre-orders stay open and the title song circulates on its own.
The early release of the title track lets listeners hear the name song first. It is a common rollout pattern for EPs and albums. One song arrives early. The full tracklist follows together.
For fans, this means a short wait with something to hear already. The “Sentinel” song is available. The complete seven-track EP lands on 4 December for those who pre-order or pick it up on release day.
