Massimo Bottura cracked open a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano on stage in Las Vegas and handed pieces to the crowd.

The cheese did not last long. The moment came during The Feast, the marquee event of Wynn Revelry by Chef's Table, a three-day food weekender that ran Sept. 18-20 at Wynn Las Vegas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Vegas dates followed an inaugural four-day Chef's Table Festival held in Park City, Utah, in August. Together the two gatherings took chefs known from television and put them in the same kitchens and on the same stages.

Wynn Revelry brought together more than 30 internationally acclaimed chefs, according to the lineup announced by Wynn Las Vegas and Chef's Table via PR Newswire. Thomas Keller was among those listed. In Las Vegas, Keller also performed a DJ set at Encore Beach Club alongside DJ Clutch. Bottura DJed The Feast before the cheese wheel came out.

Creator David Gelb described the live cooking format as an Avengers-style team-up and crossover. Gelb created Netflix's Chef's Table, an Emmy-nominated docuseries, meaning a documentary told across episodes, listed by Netflix.

Gelb developed Chef's Table in 2013 after directing Jiro Dreams of Sushi. Bottura was the first chef featured when the series premiered in 2015. He later starred in episode four of Chef's Table: Pizza in 2022.

The live events are part of a wider push to take the brand beyond the screen. Justin Connor, president of Chef's Table Projects, approached Gelb and executive producer Andrew Fried about taking Chef's Table "360," meaning extensions into restaurants, travel and products as well as television.

That already includes chef-designed menus in United Airlines Polaris international business class on select long-haul routes. On flights departing Los Angeles, that includes Nancy Silverton's burrata with braised leeks and beef brasato. Through Airbnb, guests can make cavatelli with Kirby Shaw, executive chef of Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, a restaurant recognised in the Michelin Guide, followed by a family-style meal.

What makes this stand out for viewers is the job swap. Chefs who normally carry a single episode are booked to cook, serve and perform together over one weekend, with crews, collaborators and regular restaurant teams behind them.

Netflix has built around food in other places too. Netflix Bites, an immersive dining experience tied to its shows, is open at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, according to Netflix Tudum. That venue followed a partnership between Netflix and MGM Grand announced in February 2025. The streamer had also scheduled three new seasons of Chef's Table across 2024 and 2025, including Chef's Table: Noodles, which premiered Oct. 2, 2024.

Its food slate also includes School of Chocolate, hosted by Amaury Guichon, the pastry chef known online as The Chocolate Guy. That series featured eight dessert specialists competing.

Wynn Revelry itself was created through a multiyear partnership between Wynn Las Vegas and Chef's Table, according to Wynn Las Vegas.
