Disney+'s Made in Korea is over. The Korean crime drama wrapped up on Wednesday, 23 September, with Disney confirming its second season as its last.

The series stars Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung in direct opposition. Hyun Bin plays Baek Ki-tae, an intelligence officer, while Jung plays Jang Geon-young, a prosecutor determined to bring him down, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It is Disney+'s prestige period crime drama, meaning a big-budget show built to anchor the service. Baek Ki-tae starts as a mid-level agent with the Korean Central Intelligence Agency. In secret, he moves into the crystal meth trade.

The story is set in 1970s South Korea. It mixes invented characters with real events. Those include the 1970 Yodogo plane hijacking, the 1979 assassination of President Park Chung-hee and the power struggle that led to the Dec. 12 military coup.

Season 2 premiered on 9 September 2026. It streams on Disney+ and on Hulu in the United States. New episodes arrived two at a time each week, building to a final showdown between the two leads.

The first season also began with a two-episode premiere. Season 2 continued that pattern of paired releases.

Woo Do-hwan returns alongside the two stars for the final run. He plays Baek Ki-hyeon, the younger brother of Baek Ki-tae and a young soldier in the Korean military.

Hyun Bin told The Hollywood Reporter the series is ultimately about conflict between individuals with different beliefs and methods. He said Baek Ki-tae navigates with his own playbook. That control begins to unravel in Season 2 amid unexpected circumstances.

He said he hopes viewers ask how to understand someone who thinks differently. Not who is right or wrong. Just how to understand.

For viewers, this means the story ends here. Two seasons. No further run planned.
