Bowen Yang is staying in the hoop skirt a while longer.

Producers of Oh, Mary! have extended his run as Mary Todd Lincoln through January 17, 2027. His original limited engagement, meaning a run with a set closing date, was scheduled to end December 6, as reported by Deadline.

Yang made his Broadway debut in the role on September 15. Oh, Mary! is the Tony Award-winning comedy by Cole Escola that opened on Broadway in 2024. Yang plays opposite Phillip James Brannon, Barrett Foa, Bianca Leigh and Tony Macht.

The box office moved fast after he arrived. The show sold out and took in $1,517,701 in the week after Yang joined, the producers said. A gross is the total money from tickets sold in a week. That was the show's top gross this season except for the $1,576,984 week when Maya Rudolph neared the end of her run in the title role.

Across town, Chicago is holding onto its new Roxie Hart. Reece Weaver has extended her Broadway run through Sunday, November 1. Her first engagement was set to end Sunday, October 18.

Weaver made her Broadway debut as Roxie on September 7. She is known for her breakout appearance in Netflix's America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The current Chicago company also includes Lissa deGuzman, NaTasha Yvette Williams, Max von Essen, Red Concepción and J. Workman.

Her first two weeks were sell-outs. Chicago grossed $997,133 in her first week and $995,132 in her second, according to box-office figures reported by Deadline. The show's previous largest week since May was $1,688,129, when Whitney Leavitt wrapped her run as Roxie.

For fans, this means a little more time to catch both runs. Chicago is billing the extra dates as "Extended by Popular Demand" now thru November 1 on its official site. Oh, Mary! sells a limited number of $43 same-day rush tickets in person at the Lyceum Theatre box office, subject to availability, according to its official site.
