Bloober Team has revealed SAW: GENESIS, a 3v1 multiplayer horror game in which three players cooperate as the Accused. The studio announced the project on 8 June 2026, with Early Access planned for the fall, according to its reveal announcement Bloober Team. That season is the only launch window given so far.

Three against one. That is the whole idea.

In an asymmetrical multiplayer game, a term for matches where each side has different numbers and roles, the three Accused play together on one side of the match. Bloober Team has confirmed that cooperative core Bloober Team. Three teammates. Shared objectives. One opposing slot to worry about.

Early Access needs a quick explanation too. It is a release model where players can buy and play a game while it is still in development. The build is live and playable, but unfinished. Developers then update it over weeks or months with fixes, balance changes and new content before a full release.

For newcomers, the appeal is easy to grasp. You do not face the scare alone. You move as a small group, talk constantly, watch each other's backs and try to keep everyone calm when things go wrong. Horror feels different with friends beside you. It is louder, funnier and more tense at the same time.

For fans, this means communication will be central. Three players must coordinate, split tasks and decide when to stick together and when to spread out. One player falling behind can put the whole team at risk. That push and pull keeps short matches lively. No two rounds play out quite the same way when teamwork shifts.

What makes this stand out is the shape of the contest. Three minds against one is not a fair fight, and it is not meant to be. The larger group has numbers. The solo side has focus. Finding the balance between those strengths takes testing, which is where Early Access can help. Player feedback often shapes how characters move, how objectives pace out and how long a match should last.

The fall window keeps the wait simple. No exact day or price has been set in the announcement. That is normal for a first reveal, when a studio wants to lock the concept before locking the calendar. Players interested in Early Access will need to wait for the next update from Bloober Team.
