Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can play the whole of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown at no extra cost until 30 September.

Nintendo picked the Ubisoft adventure as its latest Game Trials title, a programme that lets members download the entire game and play the full product without restrictions until the trial ends, according to Video Games Chronicle.

The trial began on 24 September at 10 a.m. PT and runs until 30 September at 23:59 PT, according to Nintendo. You need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to take part. The download is available from the eShop and from the Nintendo Switch Online section on the console.

The Lost Crown was released in January 2024. It is a side-scrolling action adventure set in a cursed Persian-inspired world, where players explore, fight bosses and unlock new powers to open new routes.

The game holds a Metacritic score of 86. Metacritic is a site that combines review scores from critics into a single average. How Long to Beat, a site that collects player completion times, estimates it takes around 16 hours to reach the credits.

What makes this stand out is the maths. The trial window lasts just under a week. A focused player could get a long way into a 16-hour game, or even finish it, before access closes.

For context, Nintendo had announced the Switch version for launch on Jan. 18, with pre-orders and a free demo offered before release. Ubisoft disbanded the team behind The Lost Crown in October 2024.
