Disney will put 9 to 5 back on cinema screens in the United States for one week, from Oct. 9 to Oct. 15, with all US ticket sales donated to The Dollywood Foundation. The re-release was announced on Sept. 25, according to Variety. All of it goes to charity.

The run follows the death of Dolly Parton on Aug. 25 at age 80, as reported by Variety. Sept. 25 has been designated the annual Give Like Dolly Day. The donations from the re-release will support Parton's Imagination Library.

The film is the 1980 comedy starring Parton alongside Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. It was directed by Colin Higgins and produced by Bruce Gilbert from a screenplay by Higgins and Patricia Resnick, according to Variety. Parton's title song received an Academy Award nomination.

The Imagination Library, founded in 1995, posts one book per month to each enrolled child from birth to age five at no cost to families. It has donated more than 300 million books to children worldwide and now sends 3 million books per month directly to children's homes, according to Variety.

The Disney dates follow an earlier cinema effort. Regal expanded its Dolly Parton benefit screenings to more than 200 theatres nationwide for Sept. 4 to Sept. 9, according to WBKO. All ticket proceeds from those screenings directly fund free books for children through the Imagination Library.

For fans, this means a straightforward choice. Buy a ticket during the October week and the money supports new books for young readers.
