The Tonight Show is bringing back Who Billionaire? Me Billionaire for a second season, starting on Sunday, Sept. 27 in a special episode after American football.

The return lands in a high-profile slot. Season two opens during Sunday's edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which follows NBC's Sunday Night Football coverage. A second instalment premieres in Monday's regular episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It is a microdrama, meaning a story told in ultra-short episodes built for phones and social feeds. The show has billed Who Billionaire? Me Billionaire as late-night television's first microdrama. Season one debuted in late July and drew 27 million viewers, according to figures from The Tonight Show.

Viewers will not have to stay up late to catch it. Episodes one through six go up on Peacock and The Tonight Show's social-media platforms after the Sunday broadcast. Episodes seven through 12 follow on the same platforms after the Monday broadcast, making 12 episodes in total.

The familiar faces are all back. Jimmy Fallon, John Stamos, Kasey Esser, Rose Kelso and Delaney Rowe return for season two. Influencer Jake Musser also joins the cast, according to Yahoo News. The Tonight Show says surprise guest stars will appear as well, though it has not named them.

The story is a send-up of soap operas about the super-rich. Season one opened with two billionaire couples celebrating an engagement before a vengeful stranger played by Stamos interrupted the party. Season two picks up the chaos. Fallon's character Chaiston becomes increasingly unhinged, while Brax, played by Esser, grows suspicious that Prestina, played by Rowe, may be having an affair. It ends with someone in a coma.

The new season has a commercial backer. Oral care company TheraBreath is sponsoring season two.

For fans, this means two ways to watch. Tune in to the Sunday and Monday broadcasts for the television premieres, or stream the short episodes on Peacock and social media soon after.
