Prince Alexander, 10, races in dad Carl Philip's go-kart cup

Prince Alexander of Sweden, aged 10, has taken the wheel in a race that carries his father's name.
The eldest son of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden competed in the Prince Carl Philip Racing Cup, a youth go-kart event, with his father watching from the sidelines. Images from the track were obtained by Swedish publication Svensk Damtidning and reported by Hello! Magazine.
It is a family sequel. Carl Philip spent part of his adventurous youth in motorsports. In 2016 he told Swedish broadcaster SVT that his mother "is a little worried about his racing."
Now he is trackside as dad. Before the start, Carl Philip and Alexander's younger brother, five-year-old Prince Julian, walked the circuit together. Carl Philip then presented Alexander with a helmet in orange, yellow and black.
Julian was there to cheer his big brother on. Princess Sofia of Sweden remained at home with the family's other two children, nine-year-old Prince Gabriel and one-year-old Princess Ines.
Alexander made his go-karting debut last year. He now races in the youngest category. Eight is the minimum age for go-kart racing in Sweden.
After the run, Carl Philip sat down with Alexander for a debrief. Then came brother time. Alexander and Julian were seen play-wrestling by the track, with the elder brother getting the upper hand.
For fans, this means a familiar passion in new hands. The father knows the noise and speed. The son, at 10, is just learning the racing line.
