Adam Brody has gone on the record on Israel-Gaza. "Put me down as thinking it's a genocide," he told GQ. "Put me down as wanting a free Palestine."

The remarks appeared in an interview titled "The Celebrity Activism Slump Hasn't Gotten to Adam Brody," published on Sept. 25 and described by Variety on Sept. 27. Brody said he had not spoken publicly about the issue before. It comes up "a lot" for him in private.

Brody is a two-time Golden Globe-nominated actor, according to Deadline. He stars as Rabbi Noah Roklov in Netflix's "Nobody Wants This". Season 1 premiered in 2024.

Season 3 is due on Netflix on Oct. 22. That date frames the timing of the interview. The full conversation is published by GQ.

Brody addressed why his political views rarely surface in press appearances. "I just answer the questions I'm asked," he said. He added that he is not wearing a pin, so he is not inviting a certain political question.

He also discussed his distance from social media. He described staying off it as the healthiest thing. He said he favours staying offline and will not be on anything Elon Musk is part of.

What makes this stand out is how directly he chose to state a position. He did not leave his view to implication. For viewers, this means the conversation around him will now include his own words.
