Drake walked on stage during Karol G's concert in Houston on Sept. 27 to perform "One Dance" with her.

The appearance was unannounced. He joined the Colombian singer mid-show for his 2016 hit, in front of a Houston crowd, as reported by Billboard. The crowd knew it instantly.

It continues a run of public crossovers between the two artists. Drake attended Karol G's Toronto show in July and appeared on the venue's Jumbotron. He then name-checked her on "New Bestie" from his 2026 project Maid of Honour. The pair released the single "Ahí" in August.

"Ahí" opened at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs, the US chart for Latin singles. It was Drake's fourth leader on that chart. The song also gave him his first career No. 1 on Hot Latin Rhythm Songs, which tracks Latin hip-hop and reggaeton airplay and streams.

"One Dance" features Wizkid and Kyla. The song was Drake's first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 as a lead artist. The Hot 100 is the US singles chart. It spent 10 weeks at No. 1 and reigned for years as the most-streamed song in Spotify history. Drake also performed it during a surprise set at Vybz Kartel's Toronto concert last year.

For fans, this means the Houston moment sits inside a longer working link rather than a one-off cameo. Karol G became the first Latina to headline Coachella earlier this year. Her 2023 album Mañana Será Bonito was the first all-Spanish-language album by a woman to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the US albums chart. Her 2025 album Tropicoqueta debuted at No. 3 on the same chart. She announced her album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto in July.
