Nicole Scherzinger took the stage in Düsseldorf on Sept. 26 with burns and blisters on one leg. Boiling water had spilled on her an hour before the Pussycat Dolls set. She performed anyway. Billboard reported the details from her own post.

She shared the injury publicly on Sept. 27. Scherzinger, 48, posted close-up photos of her lower leg, Yahoo noted. The pictures showed red, raw skin and raised blisters running down the leg. The post made clear the burn had happened just before she was due to perform. There was no filter on the images. The damage was plain to see.

Her caption kept it brief. She said boiling water had fallen on her leg. She added four words: "the show must go on." She thanked Düsseldorf for the night and closed with "See you soon Amsterdam." It was a short message. It left no doubt she had played hurt.

What makes this stand out is the timing. An hour before stage time leaves little room to pause, treat an injury and reset. She went on and finished the night.

The show in question was at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. That Sept. 26 date forms part of the group's PCD Forever reunion world tour. Scherzinger did not cut the set short. She completed it with the injury, as RTÉ also reported.

For fans, this means the current line-up is a slimmed-down reunion. Scherzinger is touring with Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts. Former members Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton are not on this run. The tour uses the PCD Forever title and is presented as a reunion world tour.

The road moves fast from here. The next scheduled date is Sept. 29 at Utilita Arena in Birmingham, U.K. That leaves only a short gap after Düsseldorf for travel and recovery. Birmingham is listed as the immediate next stop on the published schedule.

The European dates follow a scaled-back plan in North America. In May, the Pussycat Dolls cancelled all but one of their planned North American PCD Forever dates. They kept only the June 6 appearance at the WeHo Festival in Los Angeles. That decision came months before the Düsseldorf show and left the European run as the main focus of the tour.
