Bowery Presents promotes four executives as co-presidents step aside

The Bowery Presents will be led by four newly promoted executives after co-presidents Jim Glancy and John Moore stepped aside.
The change was confirmed on 28 September. Josh Bhatti, Charley Magrew, Andrew Martin and Josh Moore have each been promoted to senior vice president and will run the company together, according to Music Business Worldwide.
The Bowery Presents is a wholly owned subsidiary of AEG Presents, meaning AEG Presents owns it outright. AEG Presents is the live entertainment arm behind tours, festivals and venues. A promoter such as Bowery books artists and stages concerts.
The four new leaders will report to Brent Fedrizzi, president of North American regional offices for AEG Presents. The structure replaces a two-person top job with shared leadership across cities and functions.
In New York, Magrew will lead marketing, ticketing, sponsorship and venue initiatives. Josh Moore will oversee talent from New York, the work of signing and booking acts for rooms and tours.
Martin, based in Nashville, will have oversight of business and legal affairs. Bhatti will run the Boston-based New England office as a standalone regional promoter, with responsibility for that market.
The handover closes a long chapter for the company. John Moore co-founded The Bowery Presents as an independent promotion company in 2004, and Glancy joined as a partner in 2006. It became part of AEG Presents in late 2016.
After that deal, Glancy, John Moore and AEG Live executive Mark Shulman were to oversee all of its operations. At the time, the company was also building its Brooklyn Steel venue in New York.
Bhatti has a long history with the expansion beyond New York. He joined in 2010 as its first employee working outside New York City. That year the company opened a Boston office headed by Bhatti, as reported by Billboard, and he later held the title of vice president, Boston.
For fans, this means the names at the top change but the job stays the same: booking shows, selling tickets and running venues across the north-eastern United States and beyond.
