Naughty Dog will fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027.

The 2027 reveal will give a proper look at Jordan's wild sci-fi adventure, the studio said. That suggests a fuller presentation of story, characters and play, rather than another short teaser. Naughty Dog
Intergalactic is a new franchise from Naughty Dog, separate from The Last of Us. It stars Tati Gabrielle as protagonist Jordan A. Mun. Jordan is a bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria, a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago.
Druckmann described the project as shaping up to be Naughty Dog's most ambitious game yet. The studio is known for big, story-led adventures. This time it is building a new universe from scratch to carry one.
There was also news for fans of the studio's best-known series. Druckmann said Naughty Dog has a couple of new The Last of Us projects in very early stages. They will expand the canon, the official story, beyond Part I and Part II.
The update follows a period of change behind the scenes. Druckmann discussed leaving his role on HBO's The Last of Us show and focusing on Intergalactic in an interview with Variety in 2025. IGN later reported that the majority of the Intergalactic team transferred over after Naughty Dog scrapped its The Last of Us Online multiplayer game, which the outlet said was not a side project.
That same outlet reported that Intergalactic was still years from release and was not expected to appear at The Game Awards. A full reveal in 2027 fits with that longer timetable.
For fans, this means a quiet few months. No drip-feed of clips through the rest of 2026, then a proper introduction to Jordan, Sempiria and the hunt that strands her there.
