Eurotrash at the Young Vic confirms full cast alongside Ben Whishaw and Kathryn Hunter

Deanna H Choi and Glyn Pritchard will join Ben Whishaw and Kathryn Hunter in the world premiere of Eurotrash at the Young Vic this winter.
The stage adaptation will play the Main House from 13 November 2026 to 9 January 2027. That is an eight-week run across Christmas and New Year.
Choi and Pritchard complete the principal cast alongside Whishaw and Hunter, who play son and mother. Annabel Arden and Chris Jared will serve as understudies, the cover performers who step on if a principal cast member cannot perform. The full company was confirmed by WhatsOnStage.
The show is a stage version of Christian Kracht’s novel Eurotrash. Colin Teevan has adapted the book for the stage, meaning he has turned the novel into a playscript. Walter Meierjohann directs. The London staging is billed as the world premiere of Kracht’s story, WestEndTheatre reported.
Choi pulls double duty. She performs in the show and also shares the sound design credit with Charlie Smith, as well as composing the music. That gives one cast member a hand in both what audiences see and what they hear.
The wider creative team includes Lizzie Clachan on set and costume design and Richard Howell on lighting design. Movement direction, the shaping of how performers move on stage, is by Jozef Houben. Romana Meyat is associate director and Lydia McKinley is Jerwood assistant director.
Whishaw and Hunter are the headline names. The Young Vic lists the pair as the stars of the production. Both are known for stage and screen work, with Hunter long associated with physical, shape-shifting performance.
Eurotrash sits in the Young Vic’s 2026-27 season. The season line-up also includes Amy Lennox and Rachel Tucker among its announced stars, according to London Theatre. A musical version of Thelma and Louise is also on the slate, The Stage reported. The season is programmed under artistic director Nadia Fall.
What makes this stand out is the pairing at its centre. A mother and son, played by two actors loved for disappearing into roles. For fans, this means a limited winter window to see them together in one room before the run ends in January.
