Xbox has turned its chainsaw rifle into a pizza cutter. It sold out almost immediately.

The limited-edition cutter was made with Prince St. Pizza to promote Gears of War: E-Day, the next entry in Xbox's long-running shooter series. It is modelled on the Prototype Lancer, a version of the game's signature rifle fitted with a chainsaw bayonet, and was sold through the Prince St. Pizza online store for US$60.

Stock did not last. The cutter had already run out at the time of publication on September 29, 2026, according to Video Games Chronicle.

Xbox announced the partnership on September 28, 2026, in an official post titled "Gears of War: E-Day and XBOX Unleash “The Emergence..." on Xbox Wire. The post frames the cutter as a replica item for fans, not a functional tool from the game world.

The promotion goes beyond merchandise. Prince St. Pizza also created 'The Emergence Pie', a pizza with a spicy vodka sauce flavour made for the tie-in. It is available at Prince St. Pizza locations across the US and Canada through November 1.

Anyone who buys a whole Emergence Pie or a slice gets a unique code. The code unlocks an exclusive pizza emblem for use inside Gears of War: E-Day, a small customised badge for a player's profile or gear.

Gears of War: E-Day is scheduled to launch on October 6, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PC and Steam. Set 14 years before the original Gears of War, it follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde, the series' underground enemy force, erupts onto the surface.

What makes this stand out is the fit. Gears built its name on the Lancer's chainsaw finish. A pizza cutter is a neat, literal match.
