GMA Correspondent Will Reeve Reveals Testicular Cancer Diagnosis and Recovery

Good Morning America correspondent Will Reeve has revealed he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in April and was cancer-free at a check-up on Sept. 8.
Reeve, 34, is a New York-based correspondent for ABC News who reports across its platforms and shows including Good Morning America, according to ABC News. He disclosed the diagnosis in statements reported on Sept. 29. The Sept. 8 result followed months of surgery and chemotherapy, as reported by Variety.
The diagnosis came in the spring. The cancer then spread to lymph nodes in his abdomen, small glands that help fight infection.
Reeve had his cancerous testicle removed in May. In June, he underwent a six-hour operation to remove the affected abdominal lymph nodes. He then began chemotherapy.
He finished his final round of chemotherapy on July 31. He was treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering, the New York cancer centre.
Reeve is the son of Superman star Christopher Reeve. He joined ABC News as a correspondent and appears on Good Morning America alongside other network coverage.
The treatment period overlapped with a major personal milestone. Reeve married his wife, Amanda, in January, according to People. His April diagnosis came three months later.
For viewers used to seeing him on the broadcast, this explains a difficult stretch away from the usual routine. He is now speaking publicly after completing treatment and receiving the clear result in September.
