Hulu will launch The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County on 12 November.

The date locks in the next step for the reality franchise. Deadline reported the premiere plan on 29 September, giving viewers a clear countdown to the new series.

The new show is a spinoff, meaning it uses the same format and brand as the original Secret Lives of Mormon Wives but follows a different group in a new location. In this case, the action moves to Orange County. Hulu had officially ordered the Orange County edition earlier this year, according to Yahoo.

That structure is common in unscripted television. A broadcaster or streamer takes a familiar title and builds a second cast around it. It lets new faces join without restarting the whole idea from scratch. For the crew, it means a fresh production. For viewers, it means a familiar setup with different people.

Jen Affleck, seen in the original series, will feature in the Orange County cast. She provides the most direct on-screen link between the two shows. Podcaster Bobbi Althoff will also feature, alongside McCall DaPron.

DaPron brings another family connection. She is the sister of original star Mayci Neeley. That relationship ties the new ensemble back to the first series, even as the setting changes.

The rest of the lineup adds six more names. Ashleigh Pease, Aspyn Ovard and Avery Woods are cast members. So are Jordan McClanahan, Madison Bontempo and Salomé Andrea. Together with Affleck, Althoff and DaPron, they form the core group for the Orange County story.

For fans, this means a short wait. The November launch puts the new cast on Hulu in just over six weeks. It also keeps the franchise in one home, with both the original and the spinoff sitting on the same service.
