Dancing with the Stars sends home Taylor Hanson on Yacht Rock night

Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart are out of Dancing with the Stars, cut at the end of Yacht Rock night with 12 couples left in the race for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
The themed night aired on Tuesday night, with 13 couples performing one dance each to soft rock hits from the late 1970s and early 1980s, according to Deadline. That trophy, named for the late judge Len Goodman, goes to the winning celebrity and professional dancer at the end of the season.
The top of the leaderboard was a tie. Figure skater Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov earned 24 for a Foxtrot to “Hold the Line” by Toto. Actor Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson matched them with 24 for a jive to “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Daryl Hall & John Oates.
Just behind them came television presenter Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas, who scored 22 for a Quickstep to “Turn Your Love Around” by George Benson. Three couples scored 21: actor Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik with a Quickstep to “Maneater” by Hall & Oates, actor Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy with a samba to “Africa” by Toto, and Paralympian Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach with a Foxtrot to “Just the Two of Us” by Grover Washington Jr. featuring Bill Withers.
The middle of the table was tight. Streamer Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold scored 20 for a Foxtrot to “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac. Actor Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa scored 19 for a salsa to “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” by Hall & Oates. Three couples scored 18: Hanson and Stewart with a Foxtrot to “What a Fool Believes” by The Doobie Brothers, influencer Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong with a Cha Cha to “Never Too Much” by Luther Vandross, and TikTok creator Jackson Olson and Emma Slater with a paso doble to “Easy Lover” by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins.
At the foot of the leaderboard were reality star Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess with 17 for a jive to “Still the One” by Orleans, and comedian Guillermo Rodriguez and Whitney Carson with 15 for a Foxtrot to “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” by Rupert Holmes.
Hanson and Stewart’s exit was confirmed at the end of the broadcast, leaving 12 couples in the competition. It follows the elimination of chef Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Bersten the previous week on Viral Hits night, as reported by Cincinnati.com.
The season began with 16 new celebrities across two premiere nights on 16 and 17 September 2026, followed by Viral Hits night on 23 September, according to ABC. The show is hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, with Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli among the judges.
Next up is Mariah Carey week, built entirely around songs by the singer. Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c and streams on Disney+.
