Hathaway, Johnson and Hartnett Lead Verity New York Premiere

Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett stepped out together in New York for Amazon MGM Studios' Verity.
The trio attended the film's New York premiere at AMC Lincoln Square 13 on September 29, 2026, as shown in red-carpet photos published by Deadline on September 30, 2026.
The night belonged to the leads. Hathaway arrives as the title character, Verity. Johnson and Hartnett joined her on the carpet. Three stars. One film. Plenty of cameras.
They were not alone. Mia Calabrese, Jordana Mollick and Michael Abbott Jr. also attended the AMC Lincoln Square 13 event, according to the same Deadline gallery. The New York date brought the cast in front of East Coast press and fans ahead of release.
Verity stars Johnson and Hartnett opposite Hathaway, as first reported by Deadline in December 2024. The story centres on a writing job with a sharp edge. Johnson plays a ghostwriter, a writer hired to finish books under another author's name. She is brought in to complete the novels of best-selling writer Verity, played by Hathaway.
Hartnett plays Verity's husband. His character hires Johnson's character after his wife can no longer write, according to Deadline reporting in May 2025. The assignment takes the ghostwriter into the couple's home and into Verity's unfinished manuscripts.
The road to the carpet was long. Casting was announced in December 2024. Story details followed in May 2025. A 2026 release date was then confirmed, as Deadline reported in July 2025. Each announcement moved the project one step closer to screens.
Amazon MGM chose one of New York's best-known cinemas for the launch. The AMC Lincoln Square 13 is a large multiplex on Manhattan's Upper West Side, the kind of theatre studios often use for high-profile premieres and fan events.
For fans, this means the wait is almost over. The red carpet is usually the last public stop before a film reaches theatres. New York got the first look. The wider audience is next.
