Fontaines D.C. and The Hayley Williams Show will headline the 2027 Laneway Festival, the festival has confirmed. The 2027 run is the 22nd edition of the touring event across Australia and New Zealand. The line-up was reported by Billboard on Sept. 30.

The bill also includes Slayyyter, ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA, Ninajirachi and Rico Nasty. Those six acts join the two headliners on the announced bill.

Sydney opens the main run on Feb. 12 at Centennial Park. Brisbane follows on Feb. 13 at Brisbane Showgrounds. Both dates are part of the full festival run.

Melbourne is set for Feb. 19 at Flemington Park. Auckland closes the tour on Feb. 21 at Western Springs. Those two cities complete the four full festival stops for 2027 alongside Sydney and Brisbane.

Perth and Adelaide will not host the full festival next year. Both cities have been scaled back to sideshows, which are smaller club dates held under the Laneway name.

Fontaines D.C. and Jane Remover will play both the Perth and Adelaide sideshows. Tiffany Day will perform at the Perth date. The Perth sideshow is on Feb. 16 at The Rechabite. Adelaide follows on Feb. 18 at The Gov.

For fans, this means planning matters. A ticket in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Auckland buys the full day. A ticket in Perth or Adelaide buys a night built around two or three names.

Laneway started in 2005 as St Jerome's Laneway Festival, a one-day festival in Melbourne founded by Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio. It has since grown into a multi-city tour. It expanded into the United States in 2013 with a show at the Meadow Brook Music Festival in suburban Detroit.

The most recent run sold over 200,000 tickets and was headlined by Chappell Roan. That figure points to the size of the crowds on the tour. Pre-sales for 2027 open on Oct. 7, ahead of general sale on Oct. 8. Buyers will need to pick a city first, given the split between festival days and sideshows.

The headliners leaked early. A since-removed LinkedIn post named Fontaines D.C., Hayley Williams and This Is Lorelei as 2027 acts, as reported by Rolling Stone AU on Sept. 10. Two of those three names are now confirmed at the top of the poster.
