TAEMIN has cancelled the entire North American leg of his TAEMIN WORLD TOUR <LiMiNaL>, citing US visa delays for key touring staff.

The decision was confirmed on 30 September, less than two weeks before the six-city run was due to begin. It pulls six arena and theatre dates from the 2026-27 world tour schedule.

The run was slated to open on 12 Oct at SAP Center in San Jose, California, according to Billboard. It was then due to travel to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Prairie in Texas, Chicago and Newark, New Jersey. All six dates are now cancelled.

TAEMIN, a member of the K-pop group SHINee, said the issue centred on US visas and related administrative processes, as reported by Billboard. A significant number of touring and production staff hired for the North American shows were still waiting for travel visas. There was no clear timeline for when those pending visas would be issued.

He said the uncertainty around whether essential personnel could travel meant proceeding on schedule would carry significant operational and production risks. The wait had run out. With the opening night approaching, the production could not be guaranteed.

Refunds will be available on request from the original point of purchase. That means buyers will need to contact the outlet where they bought their tickets, whether that was a primary seller or another authorised retailer. No automatic refund process has been described.

TAEMIN said North America remains an integral part of the world tour. Rescheduled shows will be announced soon. No new dates have been set.

For fans, this means keeping tickets confirmations and receipts for now. Those with travel or hotel bookings tied to the six cancelled shows will need to contact those providers directly. The announcement, which came about two weeks before launch as noted by The Korea Times, leaves the rest of the world tour programme unchanged unless stated otherwise.
