Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will open preorders for a limited-edition chocolate advent calendar decorated with her family's California home.

As Ever, her lifestyle brand, announced the calendar in its newsletter, according to Town & Country. The calendar was created with Compartés, a chocolate maker based in Los Angeles. It continues a partnership that started last holiday season and has already produced two sell-through releases.

An advent calendar is a Christmas countdown. Most have 24 small doors or compartments, one to open on each day from Dec. 1 through Christmas Eve. Parents often buy them for children, but luxury versions for adults have become a big business in the United States. This one holds 24 handcrafted chocolates, made in small batches rather than on a factory line.

The box art is the hook. It shows the Montecito, California mansion the duchess shares with her husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, set in a holiday scene. Montecito is a coastal town near Santa Barbara where the couple has lived since stepping back from royal life. Each chocolate inside carries a number in what appears to be the duchess's handwriting, a personal touch that ties the calendar to its maker.

The duke and duchess stepped back from full-time royal duties in 2020 and now live in Montecito with their two children. The duchess launched As Ever as a home and food brand after the move to California. The brand has focused on seasonal pantry goods and gifts. The calendar is its most holiday-centered product so far.

As Ever and Compartés first teamed up in December 2025, according to Town & Country. That release featured three limited-edition chocolate bars. The bars sold out shortly after release, according to People, and followed earlier seasonal offerings of candles and mulling spices. Mulling spices are dried blends simmered with wine, cider or juice for a warm winter drink.

The two brands worked together again on a Valentine's Day collection. That second project kept the relationship going past Christmas. The new advent calendar takes the same idea into a second holiday season, with a keepsake box instead of individual bars.

For fans, this means another short window to buy. As Ever has used its newsletter to announce drops first, which rewards subscribers who sign up early. The limited-edition label suggests the supply will be small, as with the earlier chocolates.
