The Amazing Race Season 39 Launches With Two-Night CBS Premiere

The Amazing Race is back for Season 39 with a two-night launch on 30 September and 1 October on CBS.
Both nights air at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT and run to 11:00 p.m., according to CBS listings carried by The Hollywood Reporter. The Wednesday, 30 September and Thursday, 1 October openings form part of CBS's fall primetime schedule for the 2026-2027 season.
Phil Keoghan hosts again. The series is described by CBS as a multi-Emmy Award-winning reality series.
This season starts in Vancouver, Canada. Thirteen teams are racing, all new faces to the show.
The rules are simple. Teams travel through each leg, meaning one stage of the race, and the last team to arrive is eliminated. The prize is $1 million.
After premiere week, the show settles into its regular slot. New 90-minute episodes air weekly on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, directly after Survivor.
CBS also marked the milestone with an anniversary special. Entertainment Tonight presented “The Amazing Race: 25 Years Around the World” on Tuesday, 29 September, according to Paramount Press Express.
For fans, this means two nights to meet the 13 teams before the weekly cull begins.
There are several ways to watch live. The premiere is available live through DirecTV, Fubo or Hulu + Live TV, and a Fubo trial offers free live access. New episodes stream live with a Paramount+ Premium subscription and the next day with Paramount+ Essential.
