Born With Teeth is heading to Stratford-upon-Avon.

The play will run at the Swan Theatre from 12 February to 3 April, with a press night on 17 February, according to details announced on 1 October WhatsOnStage. It is a transfer, meaning the production moves from its original venue into a new house.

The play is by Liz Duffy Adams. It made its world premiere in the West End in 2025. Set in the winter of 1591, it brings together William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe.

The new run is a co-production with Playful Productions and Grain of Sand Productions. It will be directed by Daniel Evans, co-artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Joanna Scotcher will design the set and costumes. Neil Austin is lighting designer and George Dennis is sound designer.

Casting is still to be announced. At Wyndham's Theatre in London, Ncuti Gatwa played Marlowe and Edward Bluemel played Shakespeare The Guardian. That staging was described as a chamber play, a small-cast piece played close up.

The London run was strictly limited to 11 weeks. It played Wyndham's from 13 August to 1 November 2025, with tickets starting at £25 RSC.

In Stratford, Born With Teeth replaces Othello. That production was to have been directed by Monique Touko. It was to have starred Sharon D Clarke in the title role and has now been postponed.

The move was part of the RSC's wider 2026 season. The company announced six new productions for the year, with work featuring Kenneth Branagh, Mark Gatiss and Helen Hunt.

For audiences, this means a second chance. The London run has closed. Stratford is next.
