Bloodaxe Season 2 adds three to cast as production continues in Ireland

Prime Video's Viking drama Bloodaxe has added three actors for Season 2.
Maddy Ambus, Steven Brand and Lasse Steen will appear in recurring roles, meaning they turn up in multiple episodes but are not billed as full-time series regulars. The additions were reported by Deadline on 1 October.
Steen is a familiar face. His character was first seen in Season 1, and he now returns in a larger recurring part for the second run.
The series is a historical drama based on the true story of Erik Bloodaxe and his wife Gunnhild. Xavier Molyneux plays Erik Bloodaxe, with Jessica Madsen as Gunnhild, Mother of Kings.
Season 2 is currently in production in Ireland. The show is produced by MGM Television and was co-created by Michael Hirst and Horatio Hirst, who also serve as showrunners, the writer-producers who run a series day to day, alongside writing and executive producing.
Prime Video lists the update on Amazon MGM Studios under the announcement title "Prime Video Announces Three Additional New Cast for Season Two of Original Series Bloodaxe".
For viewers catching up, this means the world around Erik and Gunnhild is getting wider. New recurring characters often bring fresh rivalries, alliances and family ties, and Season 2 will pick up that story from its Irish production base.
