Fox Business Network has cancelled Mornings With Maria and will launch a new morning programme on Oct. 12. Big Money in the Morning will air from 6-9 a.m. ET and take over the early slot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new show will have four hosts. Dagen McDowell, Brian Brenberg and Taylor Riggs will present alongside Josh Schafer from Barron's. It is a straight handover of familiar faces. All three network presenters are moving across from daytime.

McDowell, Brenberg and Riggs will leave The Big Money Show, the midday programme that airs from 12-2 p.m. ET. That show will continue with a changed line-up. Current host Jackie DeAngelis will stay and be joined by rotating guest hosts Cheryl Casone, Marcus Lemonis and Lou Basenese.

The reshuffle also closes an evening hour. The network will end The Bottom Line, the 6 p.m. programme hosted by McDowell and Brenberg. In its place it will air encore episodes of Kudlow from 6-7 p.m. ET. Encore episodes are repeats.

There is also an addition for Fridays. Liz Claman will present Claman's Power Players from 7-7:30 p.m. ET. The half-hour programme will feature interviews with top industry and business leaders.

The changes follow the departure of Maria Bartiromo. Fox News Media said on Sept. 3 that it had parted ways with Bartiromo after more than 12 years with the company, as reported by USA Today. Her morning programme was the weekday centre of that work on Fox Business Network.

Her other programmes are being reassigned. The weekly Friday programme Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street will become FBN's Wall Street, with Cheryl Casone hosting this week following the exit, according to Variety. On Fox News, Larry Kudlow will temporarily host Sunday Morning Futures, the Sunday programme Bartiromo had presented, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

For viewers, this means new names in familiar hours. Mornings get a four-person team from Oct. 12. Midday keeps its title with new co-hosts. Evenings swap an original hour for a repeat and add a short Friday interview show.
