Noah Kahan to lead Hunger Games prequel soundtrack with 'Draw You Out'

Noah Kahan will launch the next Hunger Games soundtrack with a new song called “Draw You Out.” The track arrives on Oct. 2. It is the lead single, the first song released to introduce the full soundtrack album.
The full collection is formally titled “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album).” It drops on Nov. 13, according to Billboard. That puts it exactly one week before the film, which opens in theatres on Nov. 20.
Kahan co-wrote and co-produced “Draw You Out” with Aaron Dessner. In plain terms, that means the pair built the song together and then shaped how the finished recording sounds. Dessner shares both credits on the track.
The song is Kahan’s first new music since his album The Great Divide and its extended deluxe edition, The Last of the Bugs. A deluxe edition keeps the original album and adds extra tracks. This release therefore opens a new chapter after that project.
Sunrise on the Reaping is a prequel, a story set before the earlier films. It takes place during the 50th Hunger Games, 24 years before the events of the original trilogy. The focus is 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy.
Kahan follows an established pattern for the series. Earlier Hunger Games soundtracks were introduced by lead singles from Taylor Swift, Lorde, Coldplay and Olivia Rodrigo. Each of those songs was used to signal the sound of its film.
Kahan said contributing “Draw You Out” for The Hunger Games was something he had always wanted to do, in a post on X.
For fans, this means a clear run of dates. New song on Oct. 2. Full album on Nov. 13. Film on Nov. 20. Short wait between each step. No long gap to fill.
