Bogotá's Artbo packs 50 galleries and 22,000 visitors into four days

More than 22,000 visitors passed through ARTBO Feria 2026 during its four-day run in Bogotá, Colombia.
The fair ran from 24 to 27 September at the Ágora Bogotá – Convention Center in Bogotá. It is a platform that brings together galleries, artists, curators and collectors, according to its organiser's preview.
This year brought 50 galleries and 228 artists. The gallery count is up from 46 in 2025 and 33 three years earlier, The Art Newspaper reported. The artist total was published by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce in Bogotá ahead of the opening Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
The mood was local. The Art Newspaper described the September fair as boutique and local, and noted that 50 galleries is considerably down on its pre-pandemic gallery figures.
There was new tech on the floor. The 2026 programme included ARTBO Conecta, a section built around artificial intelligence. The fair also staged an exhibition dedicated to artist Lorenza Panero.
A prize for emerging work went to Ana María Chamucero. Represented by Galería El Coleccionista, she won the Premio Artecámara 2026 with the project Estrategias de almacenaje. The award celebrated projects in the group show titled Un poder presente en todo cuerpo, a curatorship — a curator-led selection built around one idea — according to the fair's own site Artbo.
Last year's mix helps explain what visitors found. The 2025 exhibition was 81% contemporary art, 17% modern art and 2% mixed, with works across 16 techniques, from painting and sculpture to photography and video, the Chamber said Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
What makes this stand out for a first-time visitor is how much happens outside the convention centre. ARTBO Fin de Semana 2025, the fair's city-wide weekend, pulled in 86 cultural spaces across six creative circuits in Bogotá and offered free transportation between them.
Small, crowded and easy to walk. That is the pitch.
