Ray J rushed to hospital during livestream in front of viewers

Ray J was taken to hospital by ambulance during a live broadcast on Thursday, Oct. 1.
The 45-year-old singer was streaming from Fab Factory via the Zeus Network on his Kick account, the livestreaming platform, when the medical emergency happened. The fire department and an ambulance attended the scene. His mother, Sonja Norwood, was with him at the time.
Footage from the stream showed him able to walk to the stretcher on his own before he was taken away. Sources described the issue as heart-related, and the emergency call was strictly medical, according to TMZ.
No further update on his condition has been confirmed. The incident follows several months in which Ray J has spoken publicly about heart problems.
He was hospitalised in Las Vegas on Jan. 7 for severe pneumonia and heart pain, according to Billboard. After that stay, he shared an Instagram video update and said, “My health is not okay.” He later said his heart was beating at only 25 per cent, and that years of excessive drinking and drug use had caused damage to his heart.
He was hospitalised again in May after a celebrity fight with Supa Hot Fire when his heart rate slowed. Ray J said he suffered a concussion and a contusion during a fight. He went on to defeat Orlando Brown in a three-round celebrity boxing match in August.
Before Thursday’s emergency, Ray J had claimed that doctors had given him months to live. He also claimed his heart had turned “black,” and in February he performed with bleeding eyes while wearing a chest patch, People reported.
His estranged wife, Princess Love, amended a protective order against him after he made the claim about his prognosis.
What matters now is what doctors find. Ray J has put his health history in public himself, in his own words. The facts from Thursday are narrow: a live broadcast, a medical emergency, and a hospital trip with his mother beside him.
