Baranski and Grant open Hay Fever in West End

Christine Baranski has made her West End debut opposite Richard E. Grant in Hay Fever at Wyndham's Theatre in London.
The production is a new staging of Noël Coward's classic comedy. It is playing a strictly limited run in London's West End, the capital's main commercial theatre district.
Baranski plays Judith Bliss. Grant plays her husband David Bliss, and is billed by the theatre as an Academy Award-nominated stage and screen actor Wyndham's Theatre.
The production is directed by Emily Burns, with a set by Frankie Bradshaw, according to WhatsOnStage. Will Close plays Simon, the painter son. Ophelia Lovibond plays Sorel, the daughter.
Charles Edwards plays diplomat Richard Gratham. Nancy Carroll plays socialite Myra Arundel. Wyndham's Theatre describes the show as a comedy of bad manners.
Coward wrote Hay Fever early in his career. It was one of four plays he premiered in 1924.
For audiences planning a visit, Time Out lists ticket prices for the Wyndham's run as £30–£185 Time Out. Booking fees and availability can vary by seller, so check the listing before buying.
First-look photos of Baranski and Grant in character were released in September, with photography by Marc Brenner WhatsOnStage. The pair also discussed the production, parties and stage work in an interview published by The Guardian on 28 September. WhatsOnStage published its review on 1 October.
What makes this stand out is the pairing. Baranski arrives with a long American stage and screen career and no previous West End credit. Grant brings a familiar British screen presence back to a London stage.
