Taylor Swift is back at No. 1 in Australia — on the albums and singles charts at the same time.

'The Life Of A Showgirl' jumped from No. 23 to No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Australia's official albums list, on the chart published Oct. 2. 'Patient Zero' opened at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in the same week. That pair of leaders gives Swift a chart double, with No. 1 on both lists at once, Billboard reported.

The return was driven by an expanded version of the album. 'The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore' adds four tracks to the original record: 'Patient Zero,' 'Pink Clouding,' 'Babylon' and 'Cleveland!'. 'Patient Zero' was announced as a single before the rest of the Encore set arrived.

On singles, Swift holds almost the whole top five. Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' slipped from No. 1 to No. 2 after 'Patient Zero' entered on top. 'Cleveland!' started at No. 3, 'Babylon' at No. 4 and 'Pink Clouding' at No. 5.

There was movement further down the list too. 'The Fate of Ophelia' climbed from No. 14 to No. 10. The song had already logged six weeks at No. 1 in October and November. Swift has now earned 69 top 10 hits on the ARIA Singles Chart.

The result had been signposted in Britain, where the Official Charts Company had projected Swift to take the week's top three singles after the Encore release. In Australia, the impact spread across both charts. Official Charts Company noted the early sales and streaming interest on Sept. 27.

The albums chart also brought new entries behind Swift. Australian singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin debuted at No. 5 with 'The Gem'. American singer Nessa Barrett entered at No. 7 with 'Tough Love', her first appearance on the ARIA Chart. British group Nothing But Thieves started at No. 9 with 'Stray Dogs', while American singer Tinashe reached No. 10 with 'Popular', her first entry in the ARIA Top 50.

What makes this stand out is how long the Australian run stretches back. Swift has now spent more than 70 weeks at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. That count dates to 2010, when 'Speak Now' spent one week on top.
