Melanie C opens wardrobe for Australian Red Cross clothing drive

Melanie C is fronting this year's Uber x Australian Red Cross Clothing Drive, a national spring clean urging Australians to donate unwanted clothes to support the charity's fundraising work, according to Billboard.
Three outfits. One good cause. The singer is donating three pieces from her own wardrobe. They will be stocked in Australian Red Cross Shops, which sell donated goods to raise funds.
The donations include the "Morning Show Tracksuit," a green and yellow tracksuit, and the "Roundhouse" grey sequin suit she wore for a live performance in London. The third piece is a little black Gucci dress.
The drive is now in its eighth year. Last year's collection gathered almost 125,000kg of pre-loved clothing, a figure that sets the scale for this year's appeal.
This year's campaign builds to a one-day collection on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10am to 4pm local time. Uber will offer doorstep pickups in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, allowing donors to book a collection rather than carry bags to a shop.
Melanie C has spent the past two seasons as a coach on The Voice Australia, the televised singing contest in which established artists mentor emerging performers. That run has kept her in front of Australian audiences between music projects.
Both partners have confirmed her role. The Australian Red Cross published its own media release about the donation, while Uber carried a matching item in its Australian newsroom.
For fans, this means a rare chance to find a stage-worn piece on a charity rail. For everyone else, the ask is simpler: clear the wardrobe and book a pickup.
