Gordon Ramsay Restaurants' UK arm stayed loss-making last year even as sales passed £100m for the first time. Sales rose 3% to almost £101m. Losses narrowed to £5.8m from £9.4m the year before. The Guardian

The UK business runs 34 outlets, including the Savoy Grill, Pétrus and Lucky Cat. The Guardian Andy Wenlock is chief executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants. The Guardian The filing history identifies the UK operator as Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Ltd, with last accounts made up to 29 December 2024. Companies House

The wider restaurant group, which includes the UK business, runs 103 restaurants in total and lifted sales by 7% year on year to a record £151.8m. The Guardian Underlying profits at that group level, profits without one-off items to show day to day performance, rose 12% to £14.4m. The Guardian The US restaurant business within that structure is now co-owned with investment group Lion Capital, meaning ownership is shared. The Guardian

The restaurant group figures do not include his TV production company. No dividend, or cash payout to shareholders, was paid. Media income, format rights and production margins sit elsewhere. Restaurant profit comes down to covers, pricing, rents, labour and supply. Covers means the number of diners served.

Expansion continued in London. The group opened its 100th restaurant at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Bishopsgate in the City of London. The Guardian The 22 Bishopsgate venue houses five restaurant experiences. The Guardian

Ramsay opened his first solo venture, Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea, in 1998. The Guardian The Netflix documentary Being Gordon Ramsay aired in February. The Guardian

Filings show a layered structure. Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Ltd carries company number 07360142, incorporated on 31 August 2010, with a registered address at 539-547 Wandsworth Road, London, SW8 3JD. Companies House A separate entity, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants (Global) Ltd, carries company number 16007984, incorporated on 9 October 2024, at the same Wandsworth Road address. Companies House Its first accounts are made up to 31 December 2025 and due by 9 October 2026, while the UK company's next accounts are made up to 31 December 2025 and due by 30 September 2026. The broader context here is a split performance that hospitality groups will recognise. The UK estate carries high London costs for flagship sites and shows revenue growth with a narrowing loss. The global portfolio, now past 100 sites and backed by the US co-ownership, shows profit growth. The brand and restaurants stay linked in public but financially separate, and that separation helps explain the numbers. Running several concepts from one busy City site, with one kitchen setup serving different offers through the day, fits that push for scale. Whether UK losses close further will turn on like-for-like growth across the 34-site estate and the ramp-up of large multi-concept openings such as Bishopsgate. Whether group profit can keep growing will turn on international scale and the economics of the Lion Capital partnership. The television profile supports demand, but the accounts keep it outside the restaurant profit and loss.
