Warner Music Mexico has promoted Yusim Aladro to General Manager.

The company confirmed the appointment on Friday, October 2. She will lead strategy and development for all domestic music at the label, reporting to Tomas Rodriguez, President of Warner Music Mexico and Musica Mexicana. Music Business Worldwide

Rodriguez oversees both the Mexican arm of the global major label organisation and its Musica Mexicana operation. That term covers Mexico's regional styles, including banda, corridos and norteño, which have built large audiences on streaming services in recent years. The structure places Aladro at the centre of the local roster.

Domestic music here means artists signed in Mexico, rather than international acts handled from abroad. It is the core business for a local affiliate, covering signings, releases and long-term artist development. Aladro now carries responsibility for that slate.

Aladro joined Warner Music Mexico at the start of the year as Director of Marketing. She has worked across music, entertainment and brand marketing for more than two decades. Her earlier roles include Project Manager, Latin at Downtown Artist & Label Services, a company that provides distribution and administrative support to independent artists and labels, and Head of Marketing at Altafonte, a distributor with a strong presence in Spanish and Portuguese-language music.

Immediately before Warner, she was a Director at Rico o Muerto, a Mexican independent label launched in 2024 and co-founded by singer Oscar Maydon. At Warner, her campaign credits include work for Elena Rose, Emjay, FLVCKKA, LAGOS, Myke Towers, Omar Camacho and Yng Lvcas.

Her brief is to bring A&R, creative marketing and artist brand building closer together. A&R, the department that finds new talent and guides recording projects, often operates apart from marketing teams. The plan is to link those functions so Mexican artists can reach listeners beyond their home territory.

The General Manager title was most recently held by Alejandro Mejia Abad, who was still credited with it in May. He left Warner Music Mexico in June after a decade with the company and joined HYBE Latin America in July.

What makes this stand out is pace. The rise was fast. Aladro moved from marketing director to General Manager in under nine months. For listeners, that continuity matters because the person who shaped recent campaigns will now shape the wider domestic strategy.
