Quiet Riot have a new frontman. John Torra, a 23-year-old vocalist from Long Island, stepped into the job at the Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.

His debut set included two of the band's best-known songs, "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)," according to Rolling Stone.

Torra replaces former singer Jizzy Pearl. The band organised an open search for a new singer before choosing him.

Before Quiet Riot, Torra played in metal bands across Long Island. He secured the job after two days at a rehearsal space in Los Angeles, where he ran through the band's set several times.

The band is managed by Regina Banali. She is the widow of original Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali.

The tour moves fast. Quiet Riot play next on October 3 in St. Charles, Missouri. Dates are booked through a run in South America in April 2027.

For fans heading to those shows, this means a new voice on familiar material. Torra is decades younger than the catalogue he now sings. That gap is the story to watch on the road.
